Susan Vasquez

Susan Vasquez has lived on three continents in 13 cities, including El Paso, Texas. She chose this city for her premiere novel because it's the kind of place that stays with you after you leave. She has switched careers more times than Grace Callado has stepped over the line to solve a murder. Army Base Recreation Director, Probation Officer, Juvenile Hall Teacher, Family Court Mediator, and Peace Corps Volunteer are some of her past vocations. Susan is married, lives in Fresno, California and wishes for more cacti in her garden.

Robert R. Brown
Robert R. “Bob” Brown carried a gun for 33 years as a law enforcement officer before he retired from the California Highway Patrol. He began to write fiction in 1965 but switched to poetry and is now a popular cowboy poet. He has written over 500 poems, many of them short stories about the west. His vision of the old west was influenced by Zane Grey, Max Brand, and Louis L‘Amour, and that is the west he writes about.

Some of his poems appeared in the anthology COWBOY POETRY MATTERS by Story Line Press, edited by Robert McDowell. He has read his poetry on KVPR--Valley Public Radio and KVPT Television, as well as at poetry readings in Central California. Bob and his wife Margaret have travelled from Alaska to Florida in their motor home, and have visited the states in which his characters have their adventures. During the Korean War, they lived in Tucson, Arizona where he learned to love the desert.

Bull Marquette
Bull Marquette is the penname for a Texas native who began his writing career as an ad and book jacket writer for Word Books, a religious book publisher, where he was privileged to interview notables like Jeb Magruder and Eldridge Cleaver, as well as authors who had come back from the dead.

Bull
has also worked as an ad agency copywriter, convenience store clerk, high school teacher, construction worker, TV weatherman, apprentice cook under a world-class chef, waiter, bread delivery man, speech writer for a state legislator and branch manager for a national stock brokerage firm. Bull moved to California in 1982 to study parapsychology in the unique masters program at JFK University.

He served as business editor of THE FRESNO WEEKLY newspaper for two years, where he also wrote a humorous editorial column and articles on world events, including "psychics who work with police departments" and the events after 9/11.
Bull co-hosted the nationally syndicated WEBMASTER RADIO SHOW, an interview show that featured the giants of the high tech world, from February 2000 to November 2001. He is currently a financial advisor, a columnist for THE FRESNO BEE, and a sometimes announcer for KVPR, national public radio in Fresno.

A paranormal and "alternate history" buff, Bull is marketing his debut novel,  THE FIFTH PLANE, an exciting story of terrorism in America that starts the day after 9/11, and has just published his first collection of short stories, GOT 8 IF YOU WANT 'EM. He has written several more novels and short stories, and threatens to publish even more!
